Muqabil Episode 8 (2016) ARY Digital Pakistani Drama

Story of Muqabil

Muqabil is a bold and hard-hitting ARY Digital drama that dared to tell a story Pakistani television had long avoided. Mehru (Saba Qamar), a cheerful young woman, carries a devastating secret — she was abused as a child by a trusted family friend, Arif (Asif Raza Mir). Years later, when Arif re-enters her life, Mehru must find the courage to confront her trauma and seek justice.

Airing on ARY Digital from December 2016 to May 2017, Muqabil was praised for handling the sensitive subject of child abuse with care and honesty. Saba Qamar delivered one of her finest performances as Mehru, and the drama sparked important national conversations. A powerful, socially conscious watch, Muqabil remains a landmark in Pakistani television.
