Overview
Clayface is a body horror thriller set in Gotham, where rising actor Matt Hagen seems to have everything ahead of him. A young man from the city’s tough streets who has fought his way to Hollywood success, Matt’s looks, career and future all depend on the face the world knows, and one violent night threatens to take all of it away from him.
United States, 2026. After a mob attack leaves Matt horribly disfigured, he turns in desperation to Dr. Caitlyn Corr and an experimental treatment that promises to repair his injuries. At first the treatment appears to work, but it soon changes his body in a far more disturbing way, giving him a clay-like, shapeshifting form and letting a darker side of himself take control as he seeks revenge on those who wronged him.
Clayface is a tragic, grotesque origin story: Matt, Caitlyn and detective John Borelli all face the consequences of fame, identity and obsession, as a man who wanted only to get his face and his life back becomes something he can no longer control.
